Equality Act 2010 requires us to have ‘due regard’ to the need to: Eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation and other prohibited conduct under the Act. Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a relevant protected characteristic and those who do not. Foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not. We will take active steps to reduce disadvantage and encourage participation of people who characteristics by the Equality Act 2010.
