Blandford Town Museum

The Blandford Museum tells the story of Blandford Forum and the surrounding area.

The Museum holds a wealth of artefacts and archives from prehistoric to the present day. Exhibitions tell the story of Blandford and the surrounding area.  We also hold archives for people researching their family history. Exhibits include militaria, Victorian life, Mediaeval and Georgian history, school history and a model railway.

The Blandford Museum interacts with the local community through a variety of special interest clubs. When you join the museum as a member you can join the museum directly or can join as a member of one of several museum clubs.

The Museum Victorian Garden Club do a wonderful job tending our authentic Victorian Garden producing both plants and jams which are available to buy in the shop.

There is a model of the former Blandford Forum Station which was featured in the February 2011 edition of Railway Modeller magazine.

PLEASE NOTE: the museum is closed from October 2018 to April 2019 for renovations. The hours shown below are for the 2019-2020 season and will start in April 2019.
